shake and bake….ENGAGED!

// July 28th, 2009 // Uncategorized

Just supplement Ricky Bobby with me and Cal Naughton Jr. with Mike Friedman:

Ricky Bobby: Well I got something for you from the late great Colonel Sanders who said “I’m to drunk to taste this chicken”
Jean Girard: What’s that got to do with this?
Cal Naughton, Jr.: I got a message for all of ‘em. Shake… and bake.
Ricky Bobby: What does that do? Does that blow your mind? That just happened!
Jean Girard: What is that a catch phrase or is that uh epilepsy?
Cal Naughton, Jr.: [whispers] Shake and bake.
Jean Girard: What?
Cal Naughton, Jr.: [whispers] Shake and bake.

well Friedman and I were on a rampage over the last week as we were attempting to bring the two non-team wrecking ball crew in to the Superweek races and finishing up at the high dollar Chicago Criterium!  Mission accomplished!  Friedman and I were all over everything out there……well let me rephrase….Friedman was all over everything that breathed in the races.  He was riding like a full team but he was just a one man show…..a one man show with a rocket in his back pocket waiting to be lit (that would be me! Haaaaaa oh that sounds super cocky but I think it is damn funny)!  Lets just say Friedman and I rocked it!  Our at least that is how we felt as we were so shelled each day we nearly passed out in the car as we drove home from each race.  One of my favorite moments was attacking Friedman as he was pulling (by himself) the threatening break back, then I think Badjadali pulled me back, then Friedman cusses me out for attacking and tells me to help him pull, then he(mainly) and I pull back the break, then continue on to jump in to the break that ends up lapping the field.  It was an awesome time and that is just a small sample of the explosivo action we were experiencing on a daily basis.
Friedman was a War Machine on a peloton eating mission!

It was great getting to hang and ride with my bestest old friend.
