finally the off season!!!

So I finally made it to the off season.  Seeing how out team managed to squeak to two more international races after the final major race in USA finished in mid September!  The good thing was that we were able to perform quite well in these international races.  With Jelly Belly having a good showing at the Sun Tour with Bernard Van Ulden and the whole team really stepping it up at the Tour of Hainan.  It was not that easy to keep the wheels rolling this late in the season when all we hear about is how much fun our friends are having doing nothing related to cycling.  Hopefully these two late season stage races will give us a good boost heading in to next season.  Which by the looks of it will be just as hard or harder than ever!

I can not believe how hard some guys were able to go this late in the season.  Wow, my body is done….at least for a while.

STOP HONKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few of my Jelly Belly teammates and I are on the island of Hainan China for a 9 day stage race.

This island is supposed to be the Hawaii of Asia, but I am not really feeling it yet.

There are sandy shores and sunny days, but not the whole amazing holiday destination feeling.

Racing is China is always an interesting thing.  With the sprints being the most insane part of it all.

If anyone has been to China you understand the whole STOP HONKING deal.

The food here on Hainan is better than up in Qing Hai China, but it is still not completely trustworthy.
