7AM motorpacing? WHY?
Uncategorized September 2nd, 2008is waking up at 7AM really worth doing? I mean motor pacing at 7AM? Really? Well Bernard Van Ulden made this activity of intense exercising worth while for a few of we Jelly Belly Racers. BVU won the Atlanta 100K early morning race barely 12 hours after the most of us pulled out of USPRO championships in Greenville SC.
I was pretty much a zombie in the Atlanta race, but I was still able to have some fun and almost get my license suspended for a short bit? WHAT? ya I did a walk ride….or more so an angled wall ride during the race…..you know how they angle concrete under bridges, well they had some angled concrete perfectly placed around this one corner and of course I had to partake in the opportunity. Then an official comes up and tells me to not do that again, Jeremy Powers talks to him for a bit, and the guys states how that is an automatic suspension of my license! WHAT? I over hear them talking….WHAT did that guy just say? needless to say the issue was forgotten as fast as it happen. But man I looked so (B)-RAD doing that wall ride. Sorry official I will be more careful next time……although I think J-Pow did inform him I was quite proficient at extreme maneuvers
Congrats to BVU for timing his sprint just right.
I have to say that this past less than 3 day weekend was quite a bit of development…USPRO TT, USPRO RR, then Atlanta 100K motorpacing race. When you have to get on your bike before the sun rises you know something is wrong!

What I actually said is if you crashed while doing your wall ride it was a 30 day suspension. Trying to avoid videos like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tI2MHASMxg8 Stay safe

how do they make jelly beans anyway? did you get a tour of the factory? is there any chance the rumor about the new flavor “chamois butter” being true?

7am is motor time. glad you got some sweetness in… we’ve been seeing KW doing some mp for madison…it’s nice. tell official that’s how they ride the wall in Burnaby…wood or concrete it’s still the same style points….isn’t that part of WC Omnium?

Since I knew who worked the race, I had to ask and got this quote:
“What I said is if he crashed while doing it it was a suspension. Either way it was a crazy move. It was pretty kewl though”
-Remember, we are officials as well as fans.
Stay safe out there…
-Just another zebra

Good job at the race. Your doing a good job on updating the blog as well. Dude we need some TOM inside stories. Maybe anything about the bobble head cavendish. He wins the award for biggest head as well as legs.
