say no to Tinkering….?
Uncategorized May 23rd, 2008I am not talking about the dominate MTB force of the 90’s and early 2000’s, but more so that insistent tinkering….constant adjusting of cleats, saddle position, stem, handlebar, thinking way too much, and what ever else falls in those lines! Well most of the time this scenario ends up working about 20% of the time and back firing the other 80%. Hind site is almost 20/20 here. We have way too much time to think about what if’s and if it was just a tad this way or that.
Say no to Tinkering.
p.s. This post had no intentions of defamation against Tinker Juarez.

A-men to that, lord knows i have to much time on my hands to think some times. I mean for real, its in man kinds nature of are own demise to come up with things that make the next $$$.
Does it make sense? Well who really knows, this coach that says this vs. that coach that says that, this Dr. vs. that Dr., or this articule vs. the next and so on. You notice not much is for free anymore.
Dig down deep and ask yourself why did i ever start riding a bike? Health, to get around, cheaper on gas, racing looks cool, to socialize… and the next thing you know your caught up in the latest and greatest.
Yes there are things out. That make it more enjoyable, more comfortable, faster, more fashionable . But the next thing you know im caught up in the whole gemic. Uhoh! This is lighter than this, thats lighter than that, im more comfortable on this than i am that. This guy said do this, so i do this. Next thing is do that, so i do that.
I guess the whole point is that after a while do these little things make a differance? Well yes and no, its up to YOU. I think some of my best days were when i was younger and didnt know the differance, If there was much .
p.s Injoy the dream, you only live once from what i hear.

I just try to remember what Jason and Ashley have told me about shifting, and not dropping my chain. That’s my biggest challenge! Other than that only the Professionals can adjust anything on my bike!

If we were hamsters we wouldn’t call it tinkering, we’d call it the running wheel
